A Sekar owns a teashop under the Matunga bridge, just outside the station. And he was one of the vendors who did not charge a paisa for the tea he distributed to shell-shocked victims.
"I was standing on the roadside. People inside were carrying the injured to the road. On the road I helped them get into taxis, ambulances and police vans. The entire work took more than two hours," says Sekar.
"I sleep in my shop. I have been here for 26 years. I don't have a vote. I don't have a ration card. In fact, I do not have an address," he adds.
