Minister of State for Home Rajendra Darda on Thursday told the Maharashtra assembly that the police have recovered nearly 30 compact discs containing speeches allegedly by Maulana Masood Azhar of the militant Jaish-e-Mohammed and clippings of communal conflagrations in Gujarat.
The raids, at outlawed Students Islamic Movement of India office in Aurangabad, were conducted in December 2002,
"Of the seized CDs, two contained information about the militant group," Darda said, during question hour, replying to Dagdu Sakpal of the Shiva Sena and others.
Police had conducted raids following a tip-off that the SIMI was carrying out its activities from the office of 'Pragma software' in Yunus colony, Darda said.
One person was arrested in this connection while a manhunt is on for four others, the minister said.
The software centre was registered under the Shop and Business Establishments Act he said, adding that there were no leads so far about financial aid to the office from the middle-east countries.
