Ashish Nehra, who was ruled out of the one-day series against Pakistan after tearing the webbing on his left hand and injuring his left ankle, is on his way back to Pakistan.

The left-arm seamer will replace injured Baroda seamer Zaheer Khan for the second and third Tests of the three-match series.

Zaheer, who bowled just one over on the penultimate day of the first Test, which India won by an innings and 52 runs, in Multan, is suspected to have sustained a hamstring injury in his right leg.

Zaheer will return to India on Monday, April 5.

Mohammad Kaif, who stayed back after the one-day series, will replace Sourav Ganguly, who returned to Kolkata on Thursday to treat a lower back injury.

India lead the three-Test series 1-0.
