India have secured a 1-0 series victory over England after rain wiped out the final day's play of the third Test.
Nasser Hussain's England had been frustrated by the bad weather during the Bangalore Test, but remained hopeful that they would be able to grab a win and level the series - weather permitting.

South Africa in Australia
Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie has been ruled out of Wednesday's second Test against South Africa with a shoulder injury.
Gillespie left an Australian training session on Monday after complaining of a sore shoulder.

South Africa are unlikely to risk selecting Allan Donald, plagued by injury for the past nine months, for the crucial second Test in Melbourne starting on December 26.
And when South Africa lost the opening Test in the three-match series he was deemed under-prepared for a brusing five-day encounter with the world's best team.

Pace bowler Andy Bichel has been recalled to the Australia squad for next Wednesday's second Test against South Africa in place of leg-spinner Stuart MacGill.
Bangladesh in New Zealand
New Zealand selectors have been forced into making one change for the Boxing Day Test against Bangladesh in Wellington.
Nathan Astle has been ruled out with a broken finger and is replaced by Matt Horne.

John Wright has retained his role as coach of India's cricket team, despite speculation that his job was on the line.
India have endured a number of poor performances away from home, but the country's cricket board have opted to keep faith with the New Zealander.

India captain Sourav Ganguly was full of praise for England's tenacity but criticised his own side's batting following their 1-0 Test series win.
"Our batting has got to be worked on a lot. We did not do well enough. But in the last six or seven months we have bowled pretty well. In this series Anil (Kumble), (Javagal) Srinath and Harbhajan (Singh) bowled well", Ganguly added.

Man-of-the-series Sachin Tendulkar was annoyed at himself for not making a ton in Bangalore after falling for 90.
"I'm disappointed at how I missed the hundred in Bangalore, I thought I had it in my pocket", Sachin said.

Stewart made himself unavailable for the Test tour to the sub-continent, but may now be willing to travel for the one-day internationals which take place next month.
One possible avenue for 38-year-old Stewart to return to the squad would be as a replacement for Surrey colleague Graham Thorpe.

The Interim Committee running Sri Lankan cricket is stepping down just days before the start of a home Test series against Zimbabwe.
The six-man committee, headed by Vijaya Malalsekera and including former Test players Sidath Wettimuny and Asantha de Mel, has resigned at the request of new Sports Minister Johnston Fernando.
