New Road Worcester WR2 4QQ
This 4,500-seater ground will be home base to Zimbabwe. Appropriate enough, perhaps, since that team figured in the only LOI to have been played at this venue.
The place where the Civil War began, and ended at Worcester -- a staunchly royalist stronghold, dubbed the Faithful City for that reason.
A river -- the Severn -- flows close by the ground. Which means flooding. Which means this must be perhaps the only ground to have a floating roller. And one of the few that regularly uses a hovering helicopter to dry out the pitch.
The cricket is one reason to go there. The ladies pavilion, celebrated for its cakes, is another.
Schedule: 16 May, Australia v Scotland
