It was a very different outing for Bangladesh as they faced Sri Lanka in a Group B match in Trinidad on Wednesday.
Their bowlers lost their magical quality bowling to Sanath Jayasuriya, and he attacked mercilessly. His 24th ODI century helped Sri Lanka post a mammoth 318 for 4 in their 50 overs.
Bangladesh started with a Pressure Index (PI) of 163 and as wickets fell in quick succession, the PI quickly went past 170.
There was no way Bangladesh could have come out of this deep hole. They lost by 198 runs and can now only hope that Sri Lanka vanquish India in Friday's key match. Bangladesh play Bermuda in their final group match on Sunday.
