Somebody has to say that the emperor has no clothes! Somebody has to ask what's Ireland doing in the Super Eight.
I know that the ICC and some dumb captains are saying that India and Pakistan have no business to be in the Super Eight "because they lost two out of their three matches". Well, Ireland have won just one out of seven matches. So why are they still in the World Cup?
Australia were required to get 92 in 50 overs -- when the rediff.com expert believed they could get 300. The pressure index (PI) thus opened at 7. Three consecutive Gilchrist boundaries in the fifth over brought it down to 5 and before you could say: "This is a World Cup Super Eight match!", the match was over.
