Does India have the bowling to do well in the WC?

Message: Noop, India desperately needs a pacer like shoaib aktar who can terrify the batsman and take his wicket..none of the above bowlers are good enough to do the job.At the same time we have less time to train up a new player..so zahirkhan and agarkar should improve a lot...

Message: None of our fast bowlers other then Zaheer Khan seems to me as a perfact athlete. We are not able to win test matches abroad because our bowlers can't deliver all the time. Its good to see that our boys are working hard on their fitness. Everybody seems to have lost few pounds, and gained muscles, but still lot more work needs to be done. It's been long time were our team has manages to get all 10 wickets in a one-day match. I think like always our bowlers will be responsible for India loosing this world cup.

Message: No! India does not have the bowling to take 10 wickets in 50 overs. They will definetely concede more than 280 every time they face a team like AUS, SA. Only Srinath is a proven bowler in SA conditions, but he can bowl only 10 overs a match. Hopefully Khan and Bajji play to there billing.

Message: No, I don't think so. Our bowling is very inconsistent and we don't know when they do well and when they don't do. And another thing is our bowling is always inconsistent overseas.But only favorable thing is Srinadh had the experience of playing in south africa. And it is better if we call Venkatesh Prasad back in the team who had a very good experience on South African pitches. Both of them did good on those pitches.

Message: I dont think so as we have just two bowlers ie Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan and they cant bowl the entire 50 overs.Srinath looks good but i cant say he will be with the World Cup suad. Bowlers like Kumble,Agarkar have no chance here as its been proved Kumble is ineffective on Indian pitches too.Agarkar always plays for the opposition by gifting away runs. So our strategy should be like of srilankans...they just have 2 world classs bowlers ie Vaas and Murli.Rest are all part timers but they all bowl within their length and dont give away runs and add to that is good fielding. This itself can cause panic and thats how Srilanka wins. I think we follow this strategy,India has good chance. The otherway would be that Saurav wins the toss always and puts the opposition to bat as we can chase any score on the board.

Message: we have three quality bowlers, and some good part-time bowlers, the problem is inconsistency of Agarkar, Nehra and so called allrounder. so things will depend on the consistency of these two guys and an allrounder.

Message: i do not understand the reason behind the selectors persistently trying out M/s. Kumble and Srinath.Both have lost their edge whether spin or pace.Ajit Agarkar and Bangar do not qualify to be of international standards. Only Zaheer Khan and to certain extent Harbhajan Singh are effective bowlers.Ganguly needs to bowl more often and his gentle medium pace should be more effective in South Africa. Nehra though good does not have the pace nor aggression to be spearhead but will be a good stock bowler to complete the quota of 50 overs along with Ganguly.However i fail to understand why the so called wise men (selectors)of Indian Cricket have turned their faces away from a very young but enterprising fast bowler who is performing consistently on the domestic circuit and that is Irfan Khan Pathan from Baroda. However the blame for not developing a good pace attack lies solely at the door of the BCCI when the indian pitches are made to be the graveyard of pace bowlers and where ordinary batsmen like Bangar can pile on runs.If the authorities take a look at next door in Pakistan they will certainly be able to find out why Pakistan with the same climatic conditions, same stock of people,and more or less the same food habits is able to produce world class pace bowlers. But this would happen only if the wise men of Indian cricket stop fighting for the spoils which is solely there because of public interest in the game.

But they will have to play with three fast bowlers, may be zaheer, srinath and one of agarkar and nehra, and only one spinner, may be bhajji or anyone of kumble and murali kartik. The fifth bowlers role can well be played by any one of sachin, saurav or viru.

Srinath after so many yrs of exp. doens't even know where to bowl. He should be taken only for practice sessions. Drop Agarkar.. that brat just sprays all over like a spoilt kid. He has been given 'n' no.of chances. In south africa only decent-disciplined bowlers/military medium(for Indians) bowlers will yeild results not fast bowlers will help in getting world cup for India. Don't be surprised if Tendulkar bags highest no. of wickets with his kind of Sping(Spin+Swing) Bowling.

Message: Anil kumle & Bajji should be replaced by Murali Karthik & Nikhil Chopda.The reason is simple ,I think both kumble & harbhajan have got outdated.All the teams have studied their bowling & most are cofortable playing these two bowlers.Recent performances are evidence to the above statement.Murali Karthik has done well in both the one dayers against WI.Regarding Chopda,he has always bowled a tight line in all the matches he has played for India during his one day career.
