CIA believes it hit Saddam: report
April 09, 2003 14:20 IST
Multiple US intelligence sources saw Iraqi President Saddam Hussein enter a building in Baghdad on Monday but did not see him leave before the structure was destroyed in an air strike, The Washington Times reported on Wednesday, citing US government officials. One official said some analysts believe the multiple eyewitness accounts suggest that Saddam is dead and the official described the CIA as being 'in a state of euphoria', the article said. "They say there is no doubt he is dead," a US military official, speaking on condition of anonymity, was quoted as saying.
