Mahatma Gandhi Road and Main Street are the main thoroughfares of Pune.
However the offices of airlines, couriers, the tourist office and banks are not necessarily located in this area. In fact most offices are quite a distance from each area. Some of the airlines are located on Dhole Patil Road. Others are off Boat Club road. The tourist office on the other hand is located, in area quite isolated from the commercial neighbourhoods, at the state government's Central Building. It is therefore a good idea to keep an autorickshaw standing by, if one goes into to town to do some of these kinds of chores:
