Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari says that he will be unemployed on Monday -- even if his team lifts the World Cup against Germany in the final the day before.

Scolari said there had been no change to the original agreement, made with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) when he took over one year ago, under which he would coach the four-times world champions until the end of the 2002 World Cup.

"My stint with the Brazil team finishes on Sunday when we finish the job we had agreed with the president (of the CBF)," he told reporters.

"After all this, I want to go home and get away from everything. On Monday, I will be unemployed."

Scolari, who became Brazil's fourth coach in a year when he took over with the team at one of the lowest ebbs in their history, would not give any clues as to whether he would stay on after the World Cup.

"I want seven days away from football and afterwards let's see what happens in my life," said the former Gremio and Palmeiras coach.

Scolari said that coaching Brazil at the World Cup had taught him many things which he hoped to use during the rest of his career.

"It's been a wonderful experience. The World Cup is a wonderful stage for a coach and I never imagined being here," he said.

The man known as Big Phil said he would like to one day coach a different country at the World Cup.
