Prakash Amritraj continued his good run of form as he upset top seed Amer Delic of the United States in the first round of the Aptos Challenger in California on Wednesday.
The Indian Davis Cupper, who had made it to the final of the Newport ATP last week, beat Delic 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in the opening round match that was played over two days.
He will next face American wildcard Phillip Simmonds in the second round.
Amritraj and American partner Lester Cook also reached the quarter-finals of the doubles event, beating Arten Sitam and Roman Borvanov 6-3, 6-1 in the first round.
