Roshan Minz scored a brace to help Orissa Steelers defeat Sher-e-Jalandhar 2-1 in the second of the best-of-three finals and push the Premier Hockey League into the decider in Chandigarh on Sunday.
Minz, who was declared Lion of the day, hit a powerful shot to finish off a well-executed attack in the 38th minute and then put the result beyond doubt with another goal in the dying minutes.
Under pressure after having lost the first final 6-5 in the tie-breaker, Steelers attacked from the outset with several raids into the rival camp.
However, it was the Shers who got the lead in the 22nd minute through the second penalty-corner. Tejbir Singh deflected the ball into the goal after a nice pass from Baljit Singh Dhillon.
Minz deflected the ball into the net in the 38th minute, from the fifth-penalty corner to level the scores.
