Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram battled past second seeds Martin Damm and Leander Paes [Images] in the semifinals of the Legg Mason Tennis Classic to set up a title clash with Mike and Bob Bryan.
The Israeli pair, seeded fourth, beat Paes-Damm 6-7(4), 7-6(5), 10-2 in a two-hour fight on Saturday afternoon.
Playing the first match of the day, the two teams traded breaks twice in the opening set then once in the second set before heading to a match tie-break, where the Israeli pair seized control right from the beginning.
Erlich and Ram thus entered their third final of the season. They finished runners-up at Las Vegas [Images] to the Bryan brothers and at the ATP Masters Series event in Indian Wells to Damm and Paes.
Bob and Mike Bryan needed only 44 minutes to take out Paul Hanley [Images] and Kevin Ullyett 6-1, 6-1.
The Bryans lost just six points on serve and did not face a break point. Already leading the doubles race by a long way, the Bryan twins are trying to win a record eighth title of the season.
