Leander Paes [Images] and Czech Republic's Martin Damm advanced to the second round of the US Open tennis championship with an easy victory over Petr Pala and Robin Vik on Friday.
Sixth-seeded Paes and Damm knocked out the Czech pair 6-1 6-2.
The Indian star was to later pair up with Samantha Stosur of Australia against Belarussians Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka in the mixed doubles opener.
