A tied-ninth finish at the high-profile HSBC Open in Shanghai lifted Jyoti Randhawa 14 places and saw him join compatriot Jeev Milkha Singh [Images] in the top-100 of the world golf rankings on Monday.

Randhawa, who won back-to-back titles at the Hero Honda Indian Open and the BILT Open earlier, is in 89th place in the latest charts.

The 34-year old also finished in tied eighth place in the European Order of Merit.

Jeev, leader in Asian Tour Order of Merit, placed 17th in Shanghai. He gained three spots to 70th place. He finds himself at number 14 in the European Order of Merit list.

Shiv Kapur is ranked 184th, a 12-place improvement after a tied 18th place finish at the HSBC Open. He is tied 15th on the European tour.

Gaurav Ghei capped off a good week for Indian golf when he jumped a whopping 19 places to 207th in the rankings.

However, Arjun Atwal slid two notches to 251st spot.

Despite ending his six-event winning streak in strokeplay tournaments, Tiger Woods [Images] was the number one golfer in the world after finishing second in the Chinese port city.

Americans Jim Furyk and Phil Mickelson, and Australian Adam Scott occupy the next three positions, while a tied third place finish in Shanghai lifted South African Retief Goosen over Fiji's Vijay Singh [Images] into fifth place.
