Jeev Milkha Singh [Images] finished with a birdie to card two-under 70 to make the cut at the KSB Munsingwear Open in Okayama on Friday.
After a first round of 71, Jeev carded a three-under 141 to be tied for 29th place.
The Chandigarh pro had six birdies in his round, to go with two bogeys and a double bogey. His putting was much better today and he needed just 29 as against 34 in round one. But he still three putted for a bogey on third.
Jeev had three birdies, one bogey and a double on the front nine for a 36, while on the back nine, he made three birdies and a bogey for a good finish.
Soushi Tajima (66+69) and Shingo Katayama (66+69) shared the lead at nine-under 135, a shot clear of a five-man bunch.
Tajima carded a three-under 69 with six birdies and three bogeys, while the steady Katayama had a bogey and four birdies in his round.
The five players at eight-under were Akinori Tani (66+70), Eiji Mizoguchi (67+69), Mamo Osanai (70+66), Hideto Tanihara (66+70) and Kiyoshi Miyazoto (70+66). Overnight leader Takao Nogami slumped to tied eighth with a one-over 73.
Jeev, who suffered a bout of flu on the first day said, "I was feeing better. Hopefully things will improve on the weekend."
He has been on a good run in the last two months in which he has won once and finished in the top-10 four other times in a total of six starts.
