Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] suffered one of his worst defeats in Grand Slam career as he and partner Alexander Waske of Germany [Images] crashed out of the Wimbledon men's doubles in the first round in London [Images] on Thursday.
Bhupathi and Waske, seeded 13th, went down 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-7 (7) to Frederic Niemeyer of Canada [Images] and Glenn Weiner of the US.
Leander Paes [Images] and his partner Martin Damm of the Czech Republic will take on Serbia & Montenegro's Janko Tipsarev and Russian Mikhail Youzhny in their first round match to be played today.
