World number 20 Chetan Anand bowed out of Thailand Open badminton championship after losing to Krishnan Yogendran of Malaysia in straight games in the opening round, in Bangkok, on Wednesday.
India's top-ranked player lost 21-32, 11-21.
He had entered the US $80,000 event on his own.
