Mark Philippoussis was among four Australians granted wildcards for the upcoming Australian Open on Saturday.
The former Wimbledon and US Open runner-up was given a free-ride into the first Grand Slam of the year, along with Nicole Pratt, Peter Luczak and Sophie Ferguson.
The tournament organisers had already handed out wildcards to 10 other players, including Jelena Dokic [Images] and former champion Martina Hingis [Images], and have two cards left.
The Australian Open starts in Melbourne on January 16.
