India finally got on to the gold medal tally at the Asian Games as Koneru Humpy outplayed her final opponent, Dana Aketayeva of Kazhakstan, to grab the yellow metal on Monday.
Humpy, who had been shocked in the sixth round by Atousa Porukashiyan made no mistake on Monday, scoring with three straight victories to finish with eight points of a possible nine.
The Indian men failed to pick any medal.
Boxing: Kolte enters quarter finals
Sanjay Kolte qualified for the quarter-finals, where he will meet Zou Shiming of China.

Naya Chandra Singh Rungbam was the star, scoring 12 goals in 14 shots. Binu Vasuk, Rasheed Khan and Gaurav Sehgal scored four each.
Hockey: Men:
India beat Bangladesh 6-0, after leading 4-0 at half-time.
The Indian goal scorers were: Dilip Tirkey (third, 24th and 33rd minutes) Shivendra Singh (29th), V Raghunath (42rd) and Aam Sinclair (54th).
This was India's first match in the tournament.
Rowing: Fine start by rowers
Indians continued their fine showing as the men's double scullers Anil Kumar Mehrolia and Bajranglal Takhar won their repachage race.

Shooting:
Manavjit Singh Sandhu, the world champion in Trap shooting was tied for lead after 75 shots in Trap at the end of the first day. He shot rounds of 23, 23 and 24 for a total of 70 out of 75, the same as Naser Meqlad of Kuwait.
The women's 10m Air Pistol squad won the team silver with 1142 points, behind China's 1161, which equaled the Asian Record. The Indian team was: Harven Srao (383), Sonia Rai (381) and Shewta Chaudhary (378)
