Indian Davis Cupper Harsh Mankad pulled out of the USD 25,000 ATP Challengers Championship, starting in Chikmagalur due to a knee injury, even as Vishal Uppal, Musthaffa Ghouse, Kiran Nandkumar and Navjeet Singh were given wild card entry into the main draw.

Mankad pulled out of the Championship after picking up the injury during a practice session.

Meanwhile, Sergei Bubka, Orest Terdshchuk (both Ukraine), Kamil Capkovic of Slovakia and Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland [Images] entered the main draw, winning their respective matches in the qualifying rounds held on Saturday and Sunday.

Prakash Amritraj, Rohan Bopanna and Karan Rastogi [Images] would also be seen in action vying for top honours at the event.

This is the first time the tournament is being held in this Coffee Town.
