Amandeep Johl, member of the Asian team for Visa Dynasty Cup, and the in-form Arjun Singh [Images] will represent India at the World Cup of Golf qualifiers at Kota Permai Golf and Country Club from October 6 to 9.
The World Cup Qualifier at Kota Permai (Andhra Pradesh) has attracted 13 teams, who will battle for two available tickets to Portugal.
The first and third rounds will use the Fourball format, while the second and final rounds will be played with the Foursomes format (alternate shot).
India last qualified for the World Cup in 2003, when Gaurav Ghei and Digvijay Singh represented India at the event after qualifying from Asia.
Johl was ranked 21st in the Money List last year and was the second best Indian after second placed Jyoti Randhawa. He also had a third place in Macau Open in 2004 and had the second highest number of birdies on Asian Tour in 2004. This year he played on the winning Asian tema in Visa Dynasty Cup.
Two-time Indian PGA champion, Arjun Singh, after a recent lasik eye surgery is back in form and was a contender for top-10 in Singapore Open, till he faltered in the final round.
