Indian tennis ace Leander Paes [Images] and his Serbian partner Nenad Zimonjic stormed into the final of the Masters Cup doubles tournament after beating Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyett in Shanghai, China, on Saturday.
The fifth seeds, who are playing the year-ending elite tournament for the first time together, beat the third seeded Zimbabwean pair 6-3 6-4 in the semi-finals.
The Indo-Serbian pair, which won the ATP Masters Series Monte-Carlo in April as well as the clay court title in Barcelona, while reaching finals at the ATP Masters Series Madrid and Stockholm, will meet sixth seeded Michael Llodra and Fabrice Santoro of France [Images] in the final.
Llodra and Santoro caused a huge upset, beating the top seeded Bryan brothers, Bob and Mike, of the United States 6-3, 7-6(9/7) in the second semi-final.
The Bryan brothers had narrowly beaten Paes and Zimonjic in the round-robin group match earlier in the tournament.
This is the fourth time in five appearances that Paes has reached the final in this year-end tournament. Previously, partnering Mahesh Bhupathi [Images], he made the grade in 1997, '99 and 2000.
