Juventus striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was awarded the Swedish Golden Ball award for 2005 on Monday.
The 24-year-old striker, who did not attend the gala in Stockholm, played a key role in Juventus's clinching of the Serie A title last season scoring 16 goals for the club.
He has also been instrumental in Sweden's qualification for next year's World Cup in Germany [Images], scoring eight goals in the qualifying matches.
Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson won the Golden Ball of all times award based on people's votes, beating earlier greats such as Gunnar Nordahl, Ralf Edstrom and Tomas Brolin.
