Croatian Ivan Ljubicic grabbed the last ticket to the eight-strong Masters Cup on Friday.
Ljubicic qualified for the semi-finals of the Paris Masters by moving past Spaniard Tommy Robredo 7-6, 3-6, 6-1.
His main rival for the last remaining spot in the season finale from November 13 in Shanghai, Argentine Gaston Gaudio, lost any hope when he was beaten 7-5, 6-0 by Czech Tomas Berdych in the Paris quarter-finals.
The other two players who still retained a theoretical chance, Robredo and fellow Spaniard David Ferrer, dropped out of the race by both losing in the French capital on Friday.

Russian Davydenko lost to Czech Radek Stepanek in Paris on Friday but had already done enough to qualify by reaching the quarter-finals.
