Lady Luck continued to smile on the Indian Davis Cup team as they were handed a World Group play-off tie at home on Tuesday.

The visitors would be the seeded team while India has the right to decide on the surface for the tie, to be played from September 23 to 25 later this year.
Sweden was one of the eight first round losers of the World Group while India beat China and Uzbekistan to qualify from the Asia Oceania Zone Group 1.
The last time India were in World Group was in 1998 and since then they had reached the play-off stage four times but without success.
A home match would be a big advantage for India to get back into the World Group after a gap of seven years.
But India have lost all their four ties against Sweden, including twice at home on grass -- 5-0 at Kolkata in the World Group quarterfinal in 1996 and 4-1 in Bangalore in another WG quarters in 1985.
India last played Sweden in 2000 in a similar qualifying knockout tie and were thrashed 5-0 on the clay courts of Bastaad.
