The Rajasthan Government on Wednesday announced a cash prize of Rs 11 lakh and a housing board flat for ace shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore for winning India's first ever individual silver medal in Olympics.

The Jaisalmer-born Rathore bagged the silver in the double trap event at the 28th Olympic Games at Athens on Tuesday with a score of 179 points.

Rathore would be presented a Middle Income Group flat costing Rs 8.80 lakh in the state capital for his historic feat, official sources in Jaipur said on Wednesday.

Rathore will also be rewarded with Rs 10 lakh by Samsung, the official sponsors of the Indian contingent at the Games, a media release said.
