Arsenal defender Sol Campbell will face a Football Association (FA) disciplinary hearing on Wednesday, the day before he is expected to fly out for England's crunch Euro 2004 qualifier in Turkey.

Campbell has denied an FA charge of violent conduct after he kicked out at Manchester United's Eric Djemba-Djemba following a fierce tackle by the Cameroon midfielder in the Community Shield on August 10.

If found guilty, Campbell faces a three-match ban for the offence.

The FA announced the date of the hearing on Monday, shortly before England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was expected to name Campbell in his squad for Saturday's game in Istanbul.

Eriksson's Group Seven leaders, who will fly out on Thursday, need a draw to qualify automatically for next year's championship in Portugal.
