Jyoti Randhawa was tied 31st after pulling himself back with three birdies on the back nine with a par round f 72 and an aggregate of one-under 143 for two days in the Taiheiyo Masters in Japan.

The Indian ace had four bogeys, all on front nine on second, third, sixth and seventh holes.

Tied for 56th was Jeev Milkha Singh, who had four birdies, but they were negated by thee bogeys and one double for a day's card of one-over 73 and a total of three-over 147.

The 2003 British Open champion Ben Curtis (65, 69) continued to lead at 10-under 134.

India struggle in World Cup

The Indian duo Digvijay Singh and Gaurav Ghei struggled in highly windy conditions in the first round of the World Cup of Golf at Kiawah Island in the United States. They are place in 23rd place among 24 teams.

They combined for a nine-over total of 81 in the four-ball played on the first day.

Germany's Alex Cejka and Marcel Siem lead the first day with a five-under 67, while defending champions Japan lie 19th.

Korea, third last year, are seventh with KJ Choi ad Hur Suk Ho combining for one-under 71.

Of the other Asian teams, Myanmar are 16th, Hong Kong 21st and Thailand 22nd.
