Federation Cup football from July 25

The 2003 Federation Cup Football Championship will be held between July 25 and August 8, in Kolkata, while the eighth edition of National Football League will kick-off in November, according to All India Football Federation president P R Dasmunshi.
All state leagues are expected to be completed before September 15, Dasmunshi told newsmen after the AIFF executive meeting at Varca, Goa, on Saturday.
A task force has been set up to implement decisions taken at the conference on Indian football, held in March in New Delhi, and the first report is expected by July 15, he said.
A four-member committee comprising C R Vishwanathan, Fortunato Franco, N D Nagendra and Satish Pillai has also been set up to prepare a long term development programme for spotting, developing and training future Indian teams from the under-14 to senior levels, Dasmunshi said.
On starting a third division NFL, the AIFF president said the federation is still considering the idea.
The transfer procedure as recommended by players' status committee has been approved and will be from from May 15 to May 31, 2003 and from October 15 to October 31, 2003, he said.
The AIFF has also declared that a new under-19 National tournament, titled 'JRD Tata National Football Championship' will get underway in September this year, he added.
The meeting also condoled the death of former international Krishanu Dey and Aarti Banerjee, wife of legendary footballer P K Banerjee.
The 2003-04 calendar:
June: Under-18 preparatory camp, C-license course, Under-16 zonal and final, Federation Cup, Milk Cup in Ireland for Under-18, B-license course.
August: Under-19 zonal and final, AFC Club, girls under-19 and boys under-16, course for national referees and Cooper Test.
September: Girls' under-19, AFC Club, National team for under-19 for Tata tournament, LG Cup, preparatory camp for senior team, boys under-19, C-license course.
October: AFC Club, Afro Asian Games, seniors, girls under 19, C-license, player transfers from October 15-30.
November: Girls' under-16, Super Cup, 8th National Football League, AFC CLub, Asia Cup, Under-16 and under-19, B-license referees instructors course.
December: 8th NFL, Under-16, under-19, AGM.
January 2004: Women's Nationals, Men under-21 zonal and final, 8th NFL, Under-16 and under-19, C-license course.
February: 8th NFL.
March : 8th NFL and 2nd Division NFL.
April: Santosh Trophy, Federation Cup.
May: Under-19 NFL.
