Netto shines in Indian Bank's win

Indian Bank, Chennai, proved too good for Mumbai outfit Mahindra United, beating them 2-1 in a seventh Oil PSU National Football League match at the Cooperage in Mumbai on Friday.
The visitors surged ahead in the 12th minute of the match when their medio Nathaniel's cross was converted by mid-fielder Harish.
Mahindra restored parity in the 32nd minute when their striker Ednei Jose Damasio scored following a pass from midfielder James Singh.
Fifteen minutes after the break Indian Bank netted the all-important goal, their winger Anyanwu Staney Festus scoring following a defensive lapse by Mahindra defender Tapan Ghosh.
The first five minutes of the match saw a totally off-colour Mahindra forward Abhishek Yadav miss two sitters. First his header off a James Singh cross was off the target and very next minute he shot wide a Khalid Siddique pass.
Mahindra came by several chances later in the match but bank goalkeeper Sebastian Netto proved hard to beat. Fot all his efforts, Netto was adjudged the man of the match.
With this win the Indian Bank have 17 points from fifteen matches while Mahindra have 14.
