Bhupathi-Likhovtseva bag mixed doubles crown

Indian ace Mahesh Bhupathi and his Russian partner Elena Likhovtseva bagged the Wimbledon mixed doubles crown when they beat Kevin Ullyett of Zimbabwe and Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 in the final.

The Indo-Russian pair, seeded third, played exhilarating tennis to easily pocket the opening set 6-2.

Ullyett and Hantuchkova, in the second set, played aggressive tennis to win the second set 6-1. With darkness slowly engulfing the Centre Court, Bhupathi and Likhovtseva played with urgency and never allowed their opponents to settle down as they captured the deciding set 6-1 with ease.
