Vijay Singh ruled out of
India skins event

Vijay Singh, who finished seventh at the U.S. Masters in Augusta, has been ruled out of golf for three weeks with a foot injury.

The Fijian, who won the Augusta title two years ago but slumped in the final round on Sunday after taking a quadruple bogey nine at the long 15th, had been scheduled to play in a pro-celebrity skins event in India this week.

He said, in a statement released by his management company, on Tuesday: "I was really looking forward to my first golfing trip to India... and doing a bit of sight-seeing with my wife."

The skins event will now be rescheduled for later this year.
