Anup Sridhar wins French jr. titleIndia's Anup Sridhar won the men's singles title in the second French Junior International badminton championships on Sunday. In the final, at Echirolles, the 18-year-old Bangalore-based lad defeated Miha Sepec of Slovania 7-2, 4-7, 7-5, 7-1. In the first round, Sridhar beat Pierre Bonhoure of France 7-0, 7-2, 7-2. Next, he accounted for Luka Petric of Solvenia 7-1, 7-2, 7-1. In the semi-finals, he beat team mate Nishad Dravid 7-0, 7-4, 7-2. However, in the doubles final, the Indian pair of Nishad Dravid and Bahniman Borah lost to the French duo Thomas Quere and Erwin Kehloffner 4-7, 6-8, 3-7. In the women's singles, India's Aditi Mutalekar lost to Belgium's Nathalie Deskamps 2-7, 7-2, 3-7, 5-7 in the semi-finals.
