Tollygunge score over SBTA 27th minute strike by Nigerian recruit Sereki Abdullatheef enabled Calcutta's Tollygunge Aggragami to register a 1-0 victory over local outfit State Bank of Travancore, in the fifth National Football League, at the Chandrasekharan Nair stadium, in Thiruvananthapuram, on Wednesday. Capitalising on a defensive lapse by SBT's Jiju Jacob, Abdulllatheef cleanly netted from the top of the box for his fifth goal in the league. This was the third win for Tollygunge in the 12-team league. They have 17 points after 16 matches, and moved up two notches, from ninth to seventh. The bankmen missed three clear chances as the visitors' custodian, former international Hemanta Dora, made clever saves. SBT also failed to clear ten flag kicks they received in the second half itself. SBT's new forward line of Asif Saheer- Ignatius- C V Sunny put in hard work but they were heavily marked by the rival defenders.
