Sunil kumar qualifies for
Wimbledon boys' singles

Junior India tennis star Sunil Kumar Sipaeya qualified for the boys' singles draw at the ongoing All England Championships at Wimbledon.
The 17-year-old Chandigarh youngster, ranked 82 on the ITF juniors listing, defeated fourth seed Komlavi Loglo of Togo 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 to enter the main draw. Loglo had earlier beaten Amanjot Singh in the semis of a grade-3 event in Hungary a couple of weeks back.
Earlier, Sunil defeated Clint Letcher of Australia 6-4, 6-4 in the first round of the qualifiers. Sunil had beaten Letcher in the first round of the LTA grade-1 event on Monday at Roehamton.
Amanjot Singh, the other Indian at the qualifier, lost to Prakash Amritraj of the United States 4-6, 6-4, 2-6 in the first round.
Amritraj also qualified for the main draw. He defeated the eighth seed Michal Przysiezny of Poland 6-3, 6-3 in the second round.
