Statistical Highlights 11th match: India v Pakistan at Perth, 28-1-2000 (d/n)

• This match was the 1550th in Limited over international (LOI) history.

• This match was Pakistan's 451st and India's 432nd LOIs. Pakistan has now appeared in maximum LOI matches than any other team.

• This match was the 82nd meeting between the two sides.

• Ijaz Ahmed was appearing in his 53rd match against India. He has now played in maximum matches by a Pakistani against India. He surpasses the tally of 52 matches held by Salim Malik.

• Rahul Dravid playing in his 115th match has now appeared in the last 50 matches in a row. He has not missed a single match for India since 9-1-1999 at Taupo against New Zealand. He had then scored a hundred - 123 not out.

• Wasim Akram (31*) when on 30 became the ninth Pakistani and the 60th batsman to reach 3000 runs in LOIs. He was playing in his 289th match and 229th innings, which was the maximum required by any batsmen reaching 3000 runs in LOIs. Previously Sri Lankan Hashan Tillekeratne needed 167 matches and 140 innings to reach this milestone.

• Wasim with 408 wickets to his credit has now become the ninth all-rounder to take 100-plus wickets and also score 3000 runs in LOIs. The full list:

• Wasim Akram also becomes the first all-rounder in LOIs to do the double of 3000 runs and 300 wickets.

• The wicket of Moin Khan was Sourav Ganguly's 50th of his career in his 133rd match. He now becomes the 17th Indian and the 117th bowler in LOI history to do so.

• He also becomes the 6th Indian and the 36th all-rounder in LOIs to do the double of 1000-plus runs and 50 wickets.

• Ganguly (5061 runs & 50 wickets in 133 matches) joins Tendulkar (8766 runs & 79 wickets in 236 matches) as the only second Indian to score 5000-plus runs and take 50-or more wickets in LOIs. As on date only 11 all-rounders have achieved this rare feat.

• The wicket of Shoaib Malik was Anil Kumble's 254th of his career in his 191st match. He now becomes the highest wicket-taker for India surpassing the previous tally of Kapil Dev - 253 wickets in 225 matches. Kumble also becomes the third highest wicket-taker after Pakistanis Wasim Akram (408) and Waqar Younis (292).

• Pakistan's total of 261-8 was the highest by any team in LOI history, not to contain a fifty-plus score (Saeed Anwar's 44 was the highest). The previous highest score was New Zealand's 257-8 against South Africa at Napier on 25-3-1999 (Adam Parore top-scored with 44).

• The partnership of 86 runs between Robin Singh and Jacob Martin equals the best for the sixth wicket at this venue by any team. The West Indian pair of Brian Lara and Robert Samuels had also put on 86 against Australia on 12-1-1997.

• The three wickets by Wasim Akram takes his tally to 57 which equals the aggregate of team-mate Saqlain Mushtaq - to become the joint highest wicket-taker by any bowler in LOIs against India.

• Moin Khan's catch of Dighe was his 50th dismissal (40ct+10st) in 38 matches against India. He becomes the first keeper to do so.

• His four dismissals in the match also equals the maximum against India by any keeper in LOIs. As on date only nine keepers have achieved this against India, with Moin Khan being the only one to do so on more than one occasion. Moin has achieved this on four separate occasions!

• It was Pakistan's 50th win over India.

• In the last 15 matches between the two sides from September, 1998, India has won three and lost 12.

• Wasim Akram won his 19th man of the match award of his career. He now equals the tally of Javed Miandad and occupies the number two position among Pakistanis with maximum such awards in LOIs. Saeed Anwar with 23 awards has the maximum.
