Laxman for one-dayersIndian Test opener VVS Laxman was today rewarded for yesterday's brilliant innings of 167 against Australia in the third Test with a place in the one-day team for the triangular series involving Pakistan and Australia which begins on Sunday. An announcement in Bombay from the Board of Control for Cricket in India today said that Laxman, who was not originally named in the one-day squad, will stay on for the tri-series.
Nikhil Chopra, Sunil Joshi, Jacob Martin, Robin Singh and Sameer Dighe will all be flying out to Australia to join the one-day team, while those returning are Harbhajan Singh, M S K Prasad, T Kumaran and Vijay Bharadwaj, who were members of the Test side.
