Benefit matches offThe six benefit matches, featuring an Indian and South African selection, have been cancelled. According to a letter despatched by BCCI honorary secretary Jaywant Lele to all the associations hosting the matches, the permission to stage the matches has been withdrawn due to "unavoidable circumstances." The Board has informed the beneficiaries too of the same. However, the benefit for Yashpal Sharma will be held as scheduled on April 26 at the Nehru stadium, as only current and past Indian cricketers will figure in the match.
