Sri Lanka unveils under-19 World Cup logoThe Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka today unveiled the logo for the under-19 cricket World Cup, which it will host from January 11 to 28, 2000. The logo is a shakily drawn globe in the shape of a cricket ball with Sri Lanka in the centre. Officials in Colombo said the Sri Lankan board will shortly launch a multimedia campaign, with the logo as the focus, to generate excitement ahead of the tournament. Teams from 16 countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Holland and a joint team from the Americas, will participate in the tournament. England won the last junior World Cup, held in South Africa in 1997. Agencies
