Round Eight:
Holyfield is flagging and Lennox Lewis begins to say grace. The bell saves the champion the ignominy of a KO.

Lewis, the March deadlock still fresh in his mind, was spot on this time. He fought by instinct, he didn't circle and he took the fight to Evander Holyfield.

Toe-to-toe they slugged it out and Holyfield on occasion badly bruised him, but Lewis never really lost his rhythm. In the end the bulkier Briton's reach, tonnage and heart carried the day.

The 'pilgrim' pugilist finally gets a much-deserved rest. He can now take his nine children for a vacation and mull over his impending divorce.

Lewis won the fight by a unanimous decision.

Mission accomplished.
