Paes, Bhupathi win easilyThe Indian pair of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi had things their way before making it to the second round of the men's doubles competition at Wimbledon today. In their opening match, the French Open champions, who have been given top billing, got the better of the unseeded pair of Tom Kempers and Michael Kohlmann, winning 6-4, 6-2, 7-6(6-3) The Indians, who have not gone beyond the second round at Wimbledon, were in total command from the start and, once they broke in the fifth game of the opening set, proved too much for the 30-year-old Kempers of The Netherlands, and 25-year-old Michael Kohlmann of Germany, who were teaming up for the first time.
