Sinclair left out of one-day team

New Zealand's newest Test hero Mathew Sinclair was yesterday left out of the one-day team for the upcoming series against the West Indies.

The 24-year-old Sinclair, who hit 214 - the equal second highest Test score on debut - in the second Test against the West Indies earlier this week, had to bid farewell his teammates after a big night of celebrations following the 2-0 Test series triumph.

"It feels a bit strange, but there's something in front of me, to put together the performances. I don't want to be used as just a Test player," he said.

The five-match one-day series starts at Eden Park on Sunday.

The team:
Stephen Fleming (captain), Nathan Astle, Craig Spearman, Craig McMillian, Chris Cairns, Roger Twose, Adam Parore, Chris Harris, Dion Nash, Daniel Vettori, Scott Styris, Shayne O'Connor.
