Vijay Kumar leads rankingsLucknow pro Vijay Kumar is well placed at the halfway stage of the PGA India Tour 1999-2000. Vijay, who has figured in the top ten in eight of the 11 tournaments, is 14 points ahead of nearest rival Mukesh Kumar in the Mahindra rankings and looks good to emerge the Mahindra champion golfer for the third consecutive year and pick the winner's cheque of Rs. 7 lakh. The standings (with points and prize money earned) at the half way stage: For the Mahindra Golfer of the Year: 1. Vijay Kumar (156, 7.8 lakhs), 2. Mukesh Kumar (142, 4.5), 3. Firoz Ali (119, 5. 3), 4. Rohtas Singh (102, 3.8), 5. Shiv Prakash (88. 50, 3.9), 6. Amritinder Singh (88. 33, 4.4), 7. Basad Ali (87. 83, 3.3), 8. Ali Sher (65. 50, 2.7), 9. Rafiq Ali (54.00, 2.3) and 10. Arun Singh (47. 50, 3.9). For the Mahindra Rookie Golfer of the Year: 1. Harmeet Singh 2. Digvijay Singh 3. Zai Kipgen 4. Tarun Sardesai 5.
