Warne loses Victoria captaincyHe may be Australia's vice captain, but Shane Warne professed to be a "little shocked" to learn that he was no longer captain of Victoria's Sheffield Shield team for the coming season. Team officials indicate that since Warne has a busy international schedule which permits him to make only one Shield appearance, it was decided to replace him as captain with recently retired Test paceman Paul Reiffel. Interestingly, Warne wasn't told who his replacement will be. "I'll take it on the chin and get on with it, I am getting used to disappointments," Warne said, reaffirming that he remained committed to Victorian cricket and would continue to play under whoever was picked to succeed him.
