Congress terms Rashtravadi article 'mischievous and motivated'

The Congress on Wednesday night denounced as "most mischievous, highly motivated and perverse" the editorial in the Nationalist Congress Party mouthpiece calling Sonia Gandhi [Images] and Rahul Gandhi [Images] arrogant. "At no point of time, Rahul Gandhi or the Congress president was involved in discussions or deliberations on seat adjustment with NCP. Hence the question of being arrogant does not arise," AICC media department chairman M Veerappa Moily said commenting on the editorial in the Rashtravadi. "The editorial is most mischievous, highly motivated and perverse," he said. "The author of the article is totally ignorant of the fact," Moily said and asked him to tender an unconditional apology to Congress. Earlier, party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi termed the editorial as "unfortunate in terms of the content and the tone and tenor of the language." Singhvi said while he understands "differences, bargaining, give-and-take, negotiations, but the language and the tone (of what you have read) is objectionable.
