Leader of opposition Lal Kishenchand Advani [Images] on Wednesday extended his full support for the India-Pakistan dialogue process, as he felicitated Asif Ali Zardari on assuming office of the president of Pakistan.

In a telephone conversation, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Advani expressed hope that relations between the two neighbouring countries would improve during Zardari's tenure as president.

While extending his full support for the Pakistan-India dialogue process, Advani wished for the success of President Zardari, Foreign Office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said.

Zardari, the co-chairman of the ruling Pakistan People's Party, was sworn in as president on Tuesday.

Advani is BJP's prime ministerial candidate for the general election in India scheduled for next year.
