Matchboxes featuring Al Qaeda [Images] chief Osama bin Laden's photograph and offering a reward of US$ five million for information about him are being circulated in Pakistan's tribal North West Frontier Province.

"Contact the nearest US embassy or consulate if you have any information about Osama bin Laden," reads the text in Urdu on one side of the matchboxes, which are being circulated in places like provincial capital Peshwar.

Postal and email addresses for sending information on the Al Qaeda chief are printed on the matchboxes. A leaflet within the matchboxes, containing 30 match sticks, says bin Laden is wanted by the US government on charges of killing 220 innocent citizens in Kenya and Tanzania on August 7, 1998.

The US government will pay up to five million dollars for information that helps prove the charges leveled against bin Laden or leads to his arrest in any country, the leaflet states.

It adds that the informer's name will be kept secret and offers possible relocation to another place, the Daily Times reported on Wednesday.
