Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M Karunanidhi was admitted to a private hospital on Friday due to back problem, a release said.
Karunanidhi, 84, had been advised rest by the doctors, following which he was admitted to the C Ramachandra Medical College hospital at suburban Porur.
Finance Minister and DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan advised the party workers not to meet the chief minister in person as he needed rest.
